Went to Comedy Masala the other night and although there were some amusing moments, I wasn't exactly in stitches over the jokes that the stand-up comedians chose to pull out of their arsenal.  The cruxes of most of their jokes revolved around three things – sexual organs, women, and racial issues. I mean yeah these topics definitely have potential to make everyone double up in their chairs but they become predictable after awhile. Don't get me wrong, I love dirty things (heh) and my blog is full of it via my graphic descriptions of a man's penis most of the time but ya la sometimes I wished other things could be made into the butt of jokes too.

I think it's easy to turn a serious topic into a subject of comic relief because the very absurdity of making something that's not funny at all into something so fucking hilarious is already funny enough. In my opinion the mark of a true comedian is the ability to turn something that's already funny into something else that would leave your abs sore the next day.

Anyway school's still alright, tho it's Week 2 so there's nothing much yet. I foresee the avalanche of work will hit sometime soon so hold on to your butts. Sometimes school feels like one is climbing K2 and we just know that shit's gonna hit sometime soon the higher we ascend/progress through the school weeks. And that feeling of waiting just fucking sucks.
