Been a hectic couple of weeks since the last post. Rushed through the remaining school assignments and got a freelance job at the sports desk for The Straits Times. After a week or so being in an actual newsroom, I daresay some of the challenges poised for an aspiring journalist can never be taught at school.

How do you approach people? How do you NOT offend them? What if they have a personal vendetta against the paper and give you fucked up answers? All these situations were never taught at school. So it's been a really steep learning curve. Being scolded, getting ignored – all these are slowly contributing to a hide thicker than a horse's penis.

Apart from that it's been okay. School's nearly out so hooray (internship starting soon cb). Exams are coming although I'm taking a worryingly nonchalant attitude towards it, and getting paid 50 bucks a day from the Straits Times. Best thing is, work only usually starts at 2.30 so fucking shiok but end like 12am knncb.
